Back in November 2023, Markos decided to sell his petrol car, switch to electric, and lease a brand new BYD ATTO 3 through our Salary Sacrifice Scheme. Eight months later we spoke to him about his experience driving electric.
“I used to have a VW Golf”, he tells us. “If I had kept it, it would’ve cost me more because the price of insurance and fuel went up. My electric car is both cheaper and bigger than my VW Golf”.
Markos researched the options available to him before making a decision. “There are a lot of options”, he admits. However, his experience with our team of experts was “nothing short of phenomenal”.
Driving an EV sometimes means you need to shake up your routine. Markos told us; “Part of the research I did was understanding the lifestyle changes and whether I was okay with doing that”. One of the biggest adjustments our customers find is switching from filling up with fuel to charging. Charging an EV needs a bit of pre-planning, but with a little help from the Electroverse and our specific EV tariffs, charging can be made simple.

When asked how his new car compares to the old, Markos exclaimed “I love how the electric car drives! I was never keen on automatics previously, but now I don’t think I want to go back to manual ever again!”. And it’s not just the smooth drive that swung him, “I like the gadgetry, you know, the onboard cameras, all the information. I think it makes driving safer and easier”.
His preference was crystal clear: “The electric car is superior in terms of economics and fuel efficiency”.
